Nutrition: Age-Appropriate Food
Young pets grow fast. Puppies and kittens require high-protein, growth-formulated staple food to support bone and brain development. Do not feed adult pet food to little ones. Stick to fixed feeding times and always keep fresh clean water available. When switching food brands, transition slowly over 7–10 days to avoid upset stomachs.
Prepare a Safe & Cozy Space
A soft, low-sided bed gives your baby pet a quiet resting zone. Add safe, lightweight chew or teaser toys to help them explore and relieve teething discomfort. Hide electrical cords, small choking hazards and cleaning chemicals out of reach to prevent accidents. For new kittens, set up litter boxes in quiet corners. Keep litter clean and scooped daily to build good litter habits.
Grooming & Early Socialization
Start gentle grooming early. Short brushing sessions help your puppy or kitten get used to touch, making future baths and nail trimming much easier. Use pet-safe shampoos only — human shampoo irritates their sensitive skin.
Vet Visits & Preventive Care
Schedule your first vet check-up within the first week. Complete vaccination and parasite prevention plans as recommended by your vet. Early health checks catch problems before they become serious.
